By accessing or using CompressPdf (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will not upload any file that: (a) contains malware or is otherwise malicious; (b) infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party; (c) is illegal, defamatory, or harmful; or (d) exceeds the posted file size limit (currently 100MB per file).
2. User responsibility for content
You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the files you upload. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload, process, and download such files. You are solely responsible for the contents of files you upload and for maintaining backups of your original data.
3. Service availability & no guarantees
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or bug-free operation of the Service. Scheduled or unscheduled downtime may occur.
4. Compression quality
Compression is inherently lossy for image-heavy PDFs. We make no guarantee about the specific size reduction, visual quality, or accessibility characteristics of any compressed output. Always keep the original file until you have verified the compressed output is acceptable for your use case.
5. Intellectual property
All trademarks, service marks, and content on the Service (other than user-uploaded files) are owned by CompressPdf or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall CompressPdf, its operators, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to USD 100.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CompressPdf from any claim or demand arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CompressPdf is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
