CompressPdf exists because most “free PDF” tools online treat you like the product. Files sit on their servers for days, get scanned for ads, or push you towards a $9.99 subscription just to remove a watermark. We wanted the opposite: a fast, honest, focused tool that does exactly one job — compress PDFs — without the surveillance capitalism playbook.

Who built this
CompressPdf is built and maintained by a small, independent team of engineers who use these tools every day themselves. We got tired of ad-riddled converters and thought — how hard can it be to build one clean, respectful PDF compressor? Turns out, hard enough to make it worth doing properly.
What makes us different
- Zero retention. Compressed files are permanently deleted from our servers within 60 minutes. There is no backup, cache, or archive.
- No account required. Ever. We don’t know who you are, and we’d like to keep it that way.
- Real batch handling. Drop 20 PDFs, get 20 compressed files back — individually or as a ZIP. No “upgrade to Pro” for batch.
- Three real compression levels. Not vague sliders — actual tunable settings so you can pick the right quality/size tradeoff.
