How to Compress a PDF on iPhone or Android (No App Needed)

You don't need to install anything. Here's how to compress a PDF directly from your phone's browser in under 60 seconds.

  • Open compress-pdf.site in Safari (or any browser).
  • Tap the upload area — your iPhone's file picker will open.
  • Navigate to your PDF. You can select files from:
  • Files app (iCloud Drive, On My iPhone)
  • Google Drive (if the app is installed)
  • Dropbox (if connected)
  • Select Recommended compression level (default).
  • The compression starts automatically.
  • Tap Download when it's ready.

    After downloading, you can share the compressed PDF directly:

  • WhatsApp / Telegram — tap Share > select the PDF from Downloads
  • Gmail / Outlook — compose email > attach file > find it in Downloads
  • Google Drive — tap Upload > select the compressed file
